- Studio Art is the foundational course for all other Visual Arts courses. Students will learn the fundamentals of how to think and perform as a visual artist. Students will utilize the Studio Thinking Habits of Mind to create imaginative and expressive works of art in diverse mediums (drawing, painting, sculpture, design, mixed media). Units of study are open-ended and allow for the student-artist to create works of their individual choosing. Students will also learn to formally document their art-making process into finished handmade journals. Students are required to display their best works in an end of course public art show.
