So after attending both meet ups, I ended up on two teams.
Team 1 is an extension of the project I started in Phase 1, in which I am having students use a variety of technologies (audio recordings, video recordings, still photography, 360 images/videos, and virtual tours) to create online art exhibition archives. Team 2 is all about learning the Glowforge. We have met two times now in my new digital classroom on 11/21 and 11/14. I am getting frustrated that I cannot figure out the setting that will cut through chipboard, but I am also moving forward with learning how to use the Glowforge. Considering this is my secondary project in Teknologia, I'm okay with just learning and getting more comfortable with the machine.

Artist & EducatorI have been teaching art for over 20 years at the elementary and secondary levels. I am currently instructing high school students in courses such as Studio Art, Digital Art, Advanced Drawing and Painting, and AP Studio Art. For four summers, I also instructed a master's level course at Ithaca College on Integrating Art into the Elementary Classroom. I am also finishing my MFA in Visual Art with an anticipated graduation date of July 31st, 2019. In my own work, I am investigating themes related to perseverance and resilience. -Jessica Stratton Archives
