Staying one step ahead of my students so I have an example to show them, I began the layering process with the acrylic paints. I clearly have a long way to go, but am enjoying this transition from oil paint to acrylic paint.
I also turned car wash photos into a galaxy-esque image that I used in a multiple-exposure image and got back into Displacement Maps in Photoshop. Not seen here on Weebly is the massive computer clean out and deletion of many digital experiment files. If I ever want them again, I have them on an external hard drive.

This week was a bit crazy with returning to work, still feeling sick, receiving Scholastic notifications, and having no voice on Friday or Saturday. Most of my art making was on Friday-Sunday. With the cold weather, I built two fires this weekend and played with long exposure shots of the flames. The above image is actually 4 individual shots stitchedd together in Photoshop's Photomerge function, then edited by me. I also started yet another Geometric Portrait, still trying to abstract the method a bit.
