In preparation for my best friend's wedding, I took photographs of her and her fiancee when I was last visiting her. She saw a poster on Pinterest of a silhouetted couple holding balloons and wanted one for her wedding. The guests are supposed to write a message on the balloons. I started playing with some non-balloon ideas and am leaning towards the one with multiple-hearts right now. This past week, I also went to a concert and managed to get into the front row. Even with such close proximity, I was not able to get the best shots. The last art related activity I attended was a college fashion show. My uncle is retiring and it was his 33 and final fashion show production, so my family drove up to surprise him at it. The student work was inspiring and the artistry in the clothing was highly evident. Made me feel like dressing more artfully for work!

This week I played with Photoshop Multiple-Exposures to get my brain to remember how to make them. While I was not successful in these attempts, I did improve my skills with masking and risk-taking. I created a paint brush of a concert scene and stamped it into a new layer and played with it as a background to the multiple-exposure.
I started another stitch pattern drawing this week. My goal is to fill the sketchbook with drawings of sutures. I also did some random experiments with Photoshop, with extreme editing. Lastly, I thought it was funny that I was browsing Craig's list and found a Macbook very similar to mine and the image reminded me of the Frame within a Frame unit, specifically the Droste effect.
