I went back to reading The History of Feminist Art this week, and found a work I saw this summer at the Johnson Museum of Art in it. I also went to the Johnson on Thursday evening to see the Sama Alshaibi exhibit and to hear her speak, which was beyond inspiring.
In terms of studio work, I made an accordion book with pockets, hand drew sutures and staples onto 12 postcards, played in Photoshop, and planned out the exhibition space for the piece I am working on titled Spoonful of Sugar. I also photographed my hands, digitally edited them, printed and cut them out. I am up to 45 of the 90 hands I need for the project.
